We continue our message series The Middle Kingdom. The early believers faced persecution beyond belief. What gave them the confidence to live and die for their beliefs? John's revelation played a vital role in sustaining these believers. The One who said he was the first and will be the last, was their hope. Today, we like them, live in the Middle Kingdom, sustained by the promises of the Alpha and Omega as revealed by John. Today’s message is titled “Endurance Controls Doors”. Endurance is a key quality that Jesus rewards. Jesus promises to open the right doors and close the wrong doors for those who endure in times of trouble. As we look at the church of Philadelphia, we will discover how to apply this truth to our lives.

Today, we like them, live in the Middle Kingdom, sustained by the promises of the Alpha and Omega as revealed by John. Today’s message is titled “Repent of Your Works”. Doing the right thing is not the same as doing things right. From their works, the church at Sardis looked very much alive. However, like the Pharisees, they were dead inside. Jesus commanded them to repent of their works and return to Him. Like this church, many believers have fallen into the trap of thinking they are justified by their works and have forgotten the grace of God.
